String Ensemble performing Holiday songs at the Springfield Town Center Mall

TCSYO String Ensemble is open to string students (Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass) who have had at least four years of private instruction on their instrument or play at Grade Level IV and above.

Students will focus on technical instruction, ensemble playing, and musicality. Students must demonstrate good tone quality, rhythm fundamentals, be fluent shifting to fourth position, have an established vibrato, and be able to sight-read. String Ensemble will perform three concerts during the season for family, friends, and the community. Dedicated professional musicians from the greater Washington, DC area will provide sectionals throughout the season. String Ensemble Tuition.

Participation in school orchestra (if available) is required.

Auditions are required and will be scheduled after registration is received.
Partial tuition assistance is available for qualified families.
